RELATED: Godfall Interview: Composer Talks Inspiration, Composition Process, and PS5 Gameplay

In a recent interview with Game Rant, Godfall composer Ben Macdougall praised the game’s performance on the PS5. According to the developer, Godfall on the PS5 makes the game more immersive than ever before, especially with how the game’s soundtrack was designed to heighten the emotions players will feel while playing the game. Additionally, Macdougall revealed in the interview that Godfall’s music was carefully composed to “add emotional weight” to every cutscene, battle, and exploration sequences of the game.

It is worth noting that Macdougal is behind for all the music in the game, and when Game Rant asked him if he has any favorites, the composer highlighted two specific tracks that are dear to him. The first piece of music that Macdougal mentioned is “Land of the Valorians,” which serves as the third track on the game’s musical score. Players familiar with Godfall would most likely remember this track, given that it appears early in the game. The second track that Macdougal highlighted in the interview is track 28 called “Son of Aperion,” which one of the final pieces the composer wrote as an alternative version of the main Godfall theme.

Godfall is available now for the PC and PS5.
