Meet Chance the gila monster. The reptile is symbolic of Las Vegas’ wildlife.
“Chance represents the inclusive culture of hockey,” the Golden Knights said in a statement. “Everyone is welcome. He demonstrates how important life skills can be developed by playing hockey, such as strong character, dedication, fitness and teamwork.”
Golden Knights fans got their first glimpse of Chance at T-Mobile Arena on Friday.
When Vegas announced its team name, many expected that the mascot will resemble a Golden Knight. The decision left many hockey fans confused.
Chance, the gila monster, is here to stay and it is a matter of time before Chance is participating in All-Star Weekend with the other mascots.
