Shared to TikTok on June 23 by Shelly, known online as Meshally07, the video begins with the camera zooming in on a young-looking dog sat in the front seat of a silver car.

The pup smiles and then licks its lips, appearing to be very friendly as it leans further out of the window to greet the person filming.

Text overlaying the video reads: “The chances of being killed by a Golden Retriever are low….”

Then the camera pans to an older Golden Retriever sitting in the back seat of the car, whose eyes narrow as it stares menacingly.

The text then reads: “But not zero.”

The hilarious footage is captioned: “I like this sound better for these 2 #PrimeDayDealsDance #fypforyou #goldenretrieverlife.”

The video has gained lots of popularity online, having been viewed more than 6.6 million times and surpassing 418,900 likes.

Many took to the comments section to share their delight at the adorably funny clip.

One TikTok user, Adam Saylor, joked: “Every crew got that one person that looks like they gone cut you.”

Another person, Gaby Bujanda, added: “That look! He is planning something and it isn’t nice.”

Dwightdp typed: “That first dog gives you a smile happy to see you… 2nd dog… I’m planning something and you’re not going to like it.”

A social media account by the name of user255301388446 revealed: “My daughter’s Golden Retriever was mean. He scared us. On the other hand, her Pit Bull is amazing.”

Jeffsiefert500 commented: “This made me laugh out loud and I haven’t done that in a while thank you so much.”

Michael Hosrtman said: “That’s exactly how my boys are. Dark one is friendly as hell and the light one is crazy.”

However, one dog that definitely appears less menacing was the canine who overcame his fear during an adorable TikTok video.

In a clip posted to the social media site on June 16 by Grizzly.bane, a woman can be seen attempting to coax her dog across a metal grate.

In the audio we can hear her asking: “What irrational thing is your dog scared of? I’ll go first: It’s grates. He’s terrified of fricking grates.”

Eventually the pet does manage to cross over with much encouragement.

The heartwarming video has so far been seen by 2.1 million people.
