In the TikTok video, which has been viewed 2.6 million times, the golden retriever can be seen bringing a frisbee to her puppies, clearly expecting them to be as in to it as she is.
User Eloise Smith who posted the video can be heard saying, “I don’t think they want to play Mila, they’re just not quite big enough yet,” while the caption explains, “Mila trying to play with her f4 day old puppies.”

It’s not surprising that this playful pooch wanted to bond with her new born pups, as golden retrievers as known to be great at looking after human beings in their role as guide dogs.
As WagWalking website states, a golden retriever is “an intelligent dog that loves to be given responsibilities and duties. The golden retriever has the right temperament… his devotion to any task he is trained for, and his natural work ethic, make him a wonderful guide dog.”
They also attest to the gentle parental nature of the breed, fully recommending them as a breed for young children, and dog nutrition manufacturers Hill’s Pet agree, saying on its website, “Golden retrievers are playful, yet gentle with children, and they tend to get along well with other pets and strangers.”
One user commented, “What’s the point of these if I can’t even play with them,” which gathered over 31 thousand likes, to which Eloise Smith replied, “All the time and effort… for this!!”.
